Hi,

I am experiencing a weird bug : When I run glxgears the performance drops when I don't move my mouse.

If I stay still, glxgears drops to about 15 FPS while if I am constantly moving my mouse it goes back up to 60 FPS. If then I stop moving again, it goes back to stuttering and about 15 FPS

Pressing a keyboard key constantly in another window also gets glxgears to perform better up to about 40FPS.
Also just putting my finger on the touchpad while not moving results in normal performance.
Using the trackpoint or a real USB mouse is similar as the touchpad.

It may be related to X event-handling ?

I'm not sure whether it only affects glxgears or other 3D applications.

Using:
intel-dri 7.9.0.git20101207
xf86-video-intel 2.13.0
libgl 7.9.0.git20101207
mesa 7.9.0.git20101207
kernel26 2.6.36.2
libdrm 2.4.22
openbox 3.4.11.2

If this report belongs to X.org feel free to move it.
