Certain Gtk+-based applications have problems with receiving keystrokes after the desktop emerges from screensaver or a suspend. Accordingly to at least some reports, the problems are endemic to Compiz.

Some more observations:
* The problems seem to appear in and after Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala) which has updated Gtk+ to 2.18.
* Gecko and Eclipse both use Gtk+ in intimate ways, adapting it to their own toolkits.

compiz bugs should be filed at the compiz bugzilla, not here.

Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not
obviously still valid. Please reopen this bug or file a new report if you continue to experience issues with current releases.
