I reported this bug to the Debian Bugtracking System first: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=613957 This bug is probably a duplicate of bug 33929. Does: Option "ColorTiling" "False" in the device section of your xorg.conf fix the problem? If so, can you try the xserver patch on bug 33929? Hello, Thanks for your fast reply. Indeed, after I set the option "ColorTiling" to "False" in xorg.conf, upgraded the radeon xorg video driver again to 6.14.0, and restarted X, everything worked as expected. Now I gave the patch a try, and it works like a charm: xserver-xorg-core 1:1.9.4-2 with the patch from bug 33929 applied and xserver-xorg-video-radeon 1:6.14.0-1 with the default xorg.conf (no options disabled) make the bug disappear. So one last question remains: is this a bug in the xorg xserver core, instead of the radeon video driver? In this case I would reassign the bug in the Debian BTS from xserver-xorg-video-radeon to xserver-xorg-core. Thanks for your help. greetings, jonas *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 33929 *** |
