Description John Keller 2011-02-23 07:56:55 UTC
Testing Gnome 3, I noticed that the text in the details section of the Update Applet is much too light - light gray on white (or lighter gray) background. Links, however, are still solid blue and stand out all the more.

I realize that this is most likely more of a theming problem, but I'd imagine that the color might be keyed to a field type which is being used by Update Applet. Perhaps, like I guess might be the case for the links' blue color, Update Applet should force a black-on white text for the details field. Or, at least, use the same color scheme as specified by the theme as for e.g. a text editor like gedit.

Hmm, it should be doing that now. I know the theming stuff all changed for GTK3, so it's likely we're not doing something right. I'll poke Carlos and get him to take a look.
