Hi Peter,

since it showed up in a tarball-vs-git diff, I took a look at test/; no Makefile in there, no commit since 2005; candidate for removal, or is it actually useful to anyone?

    Remove unused test directory (#35043)
    
    The two files are for testing the actual synaptics protocol, a task that is
    handled by the kernel these days. These haven't been built for years either,
    suggesting limited use.
