Description Krishnan 2011-03-14 07:00:24 UTC
In LibreOffice Writer and Calc when I apply different colors to texts it always appeared as in black. I saved file as odt, doc and docx from Writer and ods, xls, xlsx from Calc and then opened each file in MSOffice 2007 where text shown as colored, which I did using LibreOffice. That means, LibreOffice in my PC, having this bug and it still getting produced even after it upgraded to 3.3.2 RC1.

I don't remember whether this bug was available in 3.3.0 version because I noticed this problem later. And also I do not know whether any one else is having this problem.

Before updating to 3.3.2 RC1 it was 3.3.1 where I noticed the problem.

Hope this would get solved within next stable release.

Thank you

Hi Krishnan, could you please give a clear steps to reproduce the problem?

From my understanding, do you mean:

1. Launch Writer

2. Add some text and change their color to something other than black

3. Save the document as odt and docx

4. Close the document

Reopen the odt with Libreoffice -> the colorful text are still black. (ps. no for me, they are still colorful in my Windows and Linux running LibO 3.3.1)

Reopen the docx with MSO 2007 -> the colorful text are colorful

Please correct the steps if I have misunderstanding of the issue.

Hello Yifan and Caolán McNamara,

Thanks for checking out.

Yifan, u got the issue correctly. While the texts shows as colored in MSOffice but not in LibO in same file.

Now I totally understand that this is not a bug in LibreOffice. May be some system error causing in my Windows PC. But this is driving me crazy 'coz now I can't open any file in LibreOffice.

Well, MSOffice is working perfectly. So now on it would be my default office suit until next re-installation of XP.

Thank you guys.

And I'm having one more problem. It described here:
