Every 3d app beyond glxgears and kwin compositing seem to crash.
I tried nexuiz, warsow, lugaru and yo frankie.
Nexuiz and lugaru crash as soon as I start a game. Warsow and yo frankie after a while.
dmesg says:
[ 1534.235337] [drm:r100_cs_packet_parse] *ERROR* Packet (1063:3:16) end after CS buffer (1077) !
[ 1534.235347] [drm:radeon_cs_ioctl] *ERROR* Invalid command stream !


I'm on Kubuntu 10.10 with 2.6.38 mainline and xorg edgers ppa.
The card is Radeon X1950 GT.

I can't reproduce this bug with r300g from git.

What driver are you using? Please attach your glxinfo.

Can you by any chance try the r300 gallium3d driver from Mesa git?

No crashes with mesa (and drm) from git. Thanks.

Alright then. I am closing this bug.

It seems to be an issue with the PPA.
