We started packaging master and got an SNB regression in the last 3-4 days.

We started getting GPU hang/resets when running gnome-shell.

Bisection showed it was 

9a21bc640188e4078075b9f8e6701853a4f0bbe4

Reverting this fixes it.

this doesn't cleanly revert on master either.
