On my slow atom: splash 43 seconds cairo 134 seconds So yeah, there's room for improvement :D What program/commandline do you use to run the benchmark? I use poppler tests, you need to compile poppler to have access to them. The link (to the PDF) is no more reachable. Is there any possibility to provide the PDF again? thomasf you should have it as bug-poppler37032.pdf in the set of files i gave you No, I miss that PDF. The last PDF with that pattern I got from You is bug-poppler33972.pdf Oh, I'll send it to you, if anyone else wants it, just ask. Thanks for sending it. I now made several tests with the PDF: 1. Even the actual acrobat needs 10-12 seconds to render it. 2. If You told, it took 43 seconds, You probably rendered it with 150 dpi? Or as Your former atom really so slow? 3. When I rendered it with 24 dpi (the PDF has a really huge output size of 43,31 x 35,24 in, so render it with 24 dpi still has 1040 x 846 pixels, which should be sufficient to view it unzoomed) it took only 5 seconds. Ok, the PDF has a lot of small graphic elements, so we need some time (s. acrobat), and when zooming it propbably only the visuable section should be rendered to speed it up, but more or less I think that the time is acceptable for such kind of PDF. -- GitLab Migration Automatic Message -- This bug has been migrated to freedesktop.org's GitLab instance and has been closed from further activity.
