Bug 309456: does not render text in "Wildlife Matters" properly Unconfirmed

Opened: 2005-07-04 16:18
Product: evince
Component: general
Version: 0.3.x

Please describe the problem:
3 particular PDFs do not render as expected. The text seems randomised in gpdf
but not acroread.

Steps to reproduce:
1. wget http://www.australianwildlife.org/wmmay05.zip
http://www.australianwildlife.org/wmoct04.zip
http://www.australianwildlife.org/wmjun04.zip
2. unzip wmmay05.zip wmoct04.zip wmjun04.zip
3. evince wm*.pdf

Actual results:
evince is launched, displaying 3 PDFs, all with incorrect text rendering. The
text is garbled - seems to display random characters, not warped/stretched:

Expected results:
Display the normal text like acroread does:
http://bonedaddy.net/pabs3/files/tmp/acroread.png

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Other information:
I'm running debian sid. libpoppler0 is at version 0.3.1-1 on my system.

This is fixed in poppler-0.3.3.
