Description Christoph 2011-06-13 06:24:26 UTC
Issue: The current implementation of Notes in Writer lack good looking shadows, and thus, miss to visualize the currently highlighted note and its focus. The specification (see below) explains the use of Note Window shadows to distinguish the different states (e.g. Note Window edited, Note Window highlighted). But, this will also have some impact on how shadows for the document pages in Writer are drawn. The topic relates to the OpenOffice.org Notes2 activity [1].

Current status:
* A complete specification of the today's implementation and the proposed one can be found at [2]
* A related topic is the Document Background (shadow) described at [3]

Required changes:
* Implement full shadow for Writer notes (similar to document)
* Change visibility of document shadow according Notes focus

Changed 'Summary' by 1 letter to make it clear that this is a job to do and not yet done.

In order to limit the confusion between ProposedEasyHack and EasyHack and to make queries much easier we are changing ProposedEasyHack to NeedsDevEval.

Thank you and apologies for the noise
