color errors

as reported here: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375337

I'm using linux 2.6.39.3 with nouveau kms driver on a geforce 7600GT
X.Org X Server 1.10.3
xf86-video-nouveau-0.0.16_pre20110711 (but with march's snapshot is the same)

switching from mesa 7.10.3 to 7.11_rc1 makes text not really clear and colors
are messed up as from screenshot.

i tried with egl and llvm flags and without, same result.

just reverting to 7.10.3 make everything fine.

screenshot attached for wrong colors

Hi Patrizio

There is a patch already on the ML [1] about your (weird colors) issue
Any chance you can give it a try ?

Note our current mesa bugs policy [2], nevertheless patches are welcome.
Can you please bisect the (aliasing) issue ?

Cheers,
Emil

Dear Emil,

patch works fine and colors are fine.

chromium webgl works good too. please include in 7.11 releases.

i just have some printf
nvfx_screen_get_param:94 - Warning: unknown PIPE_CAP 29
(maybe i need to rebuild something)

feel free to close this bug

A few of things

1. This issue can be considered a part of mesa/core as it affects radeon as well
2. The bugreport should be closed when/if the patch (or similar) is pushed
Note: Meanwhile (if none is pushed for long time) you can always speak to gentoo people about adding it to the ebuild
3. The warning you see is harmless, iirc a patch that silence is is present in mesa/master
Comment 4 Patrizio Bassi 2011-07-19 12:15:21 UTC
1. yes now i understand, i tought it was nouveau specific

2. of course i'm going to ask gentoo guys to add this, i can check the gentoo status but not the mesa one. please assign to a different mainteiner, not the nouveau ones

3. fine, would be nice to have it in the main branch but anyhow it's fine for me

thank you for help
Comment 5 Emil Velikov 2011-07-20 11:05:04 UTC
The patch has been pushed into mesa/master see [1]

Note that currently it's not part of the 7.11 branch, but it should be pushed shortly

Marking as fixed
