Description Da Fox 2011-07-27 13:09:54 UTC
Summary says it all, but to clarify:
---8<---------
dafox@rakka ~ $ xvattr  | grep Name | sort -u
  Name: XV_BRIGHTNESS
  Name: XV_CONTRAST
  Name: XV_SYNC_TO_VBLANK
Name: Intel(R) Textured Video
--->8---------

I.e. the XV_HUE, XV_SATURATION, and XV_GAMMA video attributes seem to be missing. Further when using a video-playback software (mplayer) it is not possible to change the appearance of the video at all; e.g. not even the brightness and contrast adjustments appear to work. This seems to be because the two attributes that are present (XV_BRIGHTNESS and XV_CONTRAST) do not work (see bug #18441).

Hardware is Dell XPS 15 (L502x) with:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Device 0116 (rev 09)
[    13.803] (II) intel(0): Integrated Graphics Chipset: Intel(R) Sandybridge
Mobile (GT2)

Software versions:
xf86-video-intel: 6dbbb74bde034f5f00aee0396ccd1e03a6625fbd
xorg-server: 1.10.2
libXv: 1.0.6
xvattr: 1.3-r2

Merging with the earlier bug to implement them...
