Multiseat setups have to use "InputDevice" sections and set "AutoAddDevices" to false when configuring input devices. This works fine until input device is accidentally disconnected and Xserver has to be restarted to get input device back.
Having an option to bind InputClass to one specific ServerLayout instead of "AutoServerLayout" behavior would solve the problem.

have the same problem. Any chance Lev's proposal gets implemented ?

Same problem here. More than 2 years waiting for this feature. I hope it gets implemented soon.
