Description teolemon 2011-08-14 15:28:12 UTC
The iWork suite for Mac is composed of Pages (equivalent of Writer), Numbers (equivalent of Calc),Keynote (equivalent of Presentation)

It uses a custom xml file format and is not supported by any application on Linux or Windows.

It would be nice to be able to import from this formats using a filter.

Already some discussion on this in the (old) OpenOffice/Apache bugzilla, see: https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=98327

[This is an automated message.]
This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1

Adding support for iWork (i.e. Keynote, Pages etc.) would be a pretty big feature, and I see no mention of it in the release notes:

http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/3.5

so I think it's safe to say that this bug can be confirmed to be still in effect.

Keynote import is already covered by bug#59680. I have added Pages import to our GSOC ideas page.
