Fred was not able to open a chat with one of his contact. According to him he didn't have any open chat with this contact (neither in Empathy or gnome-shell) but double clicking on it in the contact list wasn't opening a chat.

Here are the D-Bus and MC logs. It seems that the channel already exists (Yours=False) but shouldn't MC at least re-call HandleChannels() on the handler in this case?
