Description Scott Moreau 2011-09-20 11:42:12 UTC
I recently installed Steam and subsequently the game Portal through wine and it starts but after the loading screen, it hard locks the machine. The system requirements for the game are low enough for this machine to handle. I'm not really sure how to diagnose the problem but I've tested on 2.6.40.3-0.fc15.i686 and 2.6.38-11-generic with mesa master yielding same results. Using OpenGL version string: 2.1 Mesa 7.12-devel (git-47b556f) with OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on ATI RV350.

Yes, it's still the same problem with ubuntu 12.04, kernel 3.0.0, Mesa 9.1 and wine 1.4.
