Tools->Macros->Organize Macros->LibreOffice Basic
Choose a module and macro
Click on the Edit button
Maximize the Macro Editor

The editor will never again be a normal sized window. As a side effect, this prevents it from easily being the recipient of copy or paste events.

There is no "minus" sign in the the Macro Editor's menu bar.
The menu bar does not appear at the top of the screen (Ubuntu Unity specific).
There is no "x" sign in the top left hand corner of the window.

Move the mouse pointer to the top left corner of the window. After a while, the mouse pointer should change to a 'corner pointer'. Then a click+hold+drag should allow the window to be resized. But, the 'corner-pointer' never shows up.

Move the mouse pointer to the left or right side of the window. It should change to a 'side-pointer'. When it becomes a 'side-pointer', click+hold+drag operations should allow the window to be resized. But, the 'side-pointer' never shows up.

Move the mouse pointer to the top or bottom of the window. It should change to a 'top-pointer' or 'bottom-pointer', respectively. When it changes, click+hold+drag operations should allow the window to be resized. But, the change to a 'top-pointer' or 'bottom-pointer' never occurs.

This is specific to the Unity window manager in Linux. In Gnome, all is fine.
Comment 2 Allan Jacobs 2011-10-23 14:02:59 UTC
Downgrading importance to normal as this is a window manager-specific bug with a work around.

I built LibreOffice 3.5.0 Build ID: 8f87c3d-adcf6d5-c4bb9bd. The bug is, somehow, fixed in 3.5.0.

Confirmed not an issue on Ubuntu 12.04 with 3.5.4. Likely was a Unity bug.
