Haze log from Empathy session

Application: Empathy 3.2.0
OS: Ubuntu Linux 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot)
Machine: Asus EEE 1000 PC (netbook)

PROBLEM:
AIM chat client fails to connect, and keeps requesting password. Problem is consistent and repeatable.

I have filed a but report HERE:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=662231.

According to the attached haze log, the developer has directed me to file a bug report with freedesktop.

Not a fdo bug, reassigning to telepathy.

I was having this problem as well. Using mc-tool to set the aim account's "use-clientlogin" property to false enabled me to log in.

I wonder if this is a widespread enough issue to cause it to be haze's default or if it's temporary or not.
