Forwarded from Launchpad #880224 on behalf of Amir E. Aharoni and Shahar Or:

"Hebrew vowel diacritics are completely broken"
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ttf-dejavu/+bug/880224

The concern raised is over the placement of the vowel diacriticals following ו (Vav) and י (Yod). The user has confirmed that the issue is apparent in the sample PDF:

  https://launchpadlibrarian.net/83992298/lp-880224-dejavu-sans-hebrew-vav.pdf

"The Holam point is supposed to be above Vav, not to the left of it. The Dagesh point in Pe and Yud is hardly visible."

(Not being a native Hebrew reader, I cannot know or offer guidance personally on the correctness or accuracy of the point in question).
