My env:

archlinux + xfce4 

when using gvim + dejavu mono sans 10.5 (the perfect font)

some '_' cannot seen. But when you let the cursor at the '_' . It showed again...Strange.

Only in gvim.

In xfce and terminator is OK!!!!

I'm hit by this bug in urxvt 

URxvt.font: xft:monospace:pixelsize=14
