In game you should be able to adjust gamma, however moving the gamma slider does nothing. I don't know if this is even the right component. I was thinking if this is a server issue, however the gamma settings works fine with another driver (NVIDIA proprietary) on my second machine. BTW xgamma command works fine.

This is with: RV530 GPU

Can you change the gamma settings with xgamma -gamma x.y ?

If not, how about xrandr --output LVDS --gamma x.y:x.y:x.y ?

Yes, its already mentioned in the description, "xgamma -gamma x.y" works fine.
