The OpenMotif project is working on the spec for their OpenMotif 2.3 release, and include anti-aliased fonts in their feature set: http://www.motifzone.com/index.php?module=pagemaster&PAGE_user_op=view_page&PAGE_id=29&MMN_position=66:66 If I understand that statement correctly they will use Xft and _not_ STSF, e.g. no line shaping etc. ... ;-( The OpenMotif has powerful i18n, and the toolkit which I love most is Motif. However Xft/fontconfig basically rots the CJK support. If they use Xft/fontconfig, I cannot but be disappointed. I believed that Motif uses STSF.... |
