This chip has no 3D engine, what would mesa be supporting in it? Could we have a /dev/dri/card0 entry for this card? I tried to run an EGL app under xorg on this card and work fine. But when i tried to run without X with EGL_PLATFORM=drm or fbdev doesn't work because i think it cannot open /dev/dri/card0. The same code works fine on intel/radeon/nouveau on console without X. Is there any solution or workaround? The kernel seems that doesn't load the mga module because doesn't recognize this pci id. There is no KMS driver for mga cards. This card has no EGL capabilties to expose. Unless the application is going to run on top of a sw rendering EGL stack. But there is no KMS driver for this card at the moment to even do that on top off. Thank you David. As i understand if there is no kms driver for this card i think that there is no way to run this application out of an xserver session (i.e. in a gnome terminal) also if i want to go on software rendering? So, it seems that there is a KMS driver now for the MGA200eW card (thanks to you Dave :-). Any way this can be supported, even if it's just for software rendering? ---Alex This card is "video memory" = 0,framebuffer can't used! Why! |
