Bug 4606

I am running Xorg 6.8.2.

This works. Only when using the laptop in the Port replicator it will not
recognize the external connected DVI panel only the laptop's panel. The  thing
is that a "X -configure" does detect the external DVI correctly and writes a
xorg.conf.new that is for the correct DVI panel. Only when starting xorg with "X
-config xorg.conf.new" the Xorg log shows only that it detects the laptop's panel

This panel has a resolution of 1680x1050, but because it only finds the internal
panel, it will refuse to give any higher resolution than 1400x1050.

The radeon framebuffer detects the panel correctly and as I mentioned the X
-configure routine. I tried playing with the "MonitorLayout" settings, but no
result, most of them result in a hard lock of the X especially the "LVDS,TMDS"
one. If I connect the panel to the CRT plug, then it works without problem, this
however is not workable in those resolutions. It seems that the Port replicator
shares the DVI connection, in Windows I can switch between internal and external
DVI without problem and at the correct resolution.

Is this a known problem yet?
