Further comments from reporter: """ The error reported here happened when running sqldeveloper. I can reproduce this bug under Unity, Gnome-Shell and Gnome Classic (Fallback) mode. I can't get a solid dump from the hang when I plug in an external monitor because the system completely locks up. I can't even ssh in. Thus far, I have found the performance of the intel driver to be problematic under Precise. For my purposes, this is the biggest bug affecting my use of Precise but is, at the moment, making it difficult for me to switch to precise full-time so I can test it further. It seems that this bug is getting worse. I can not use Gnome-Commander or many other apps because they cause a hang in the GPU. This isn't killing the computer completely. I don't have to reset the system but it does cause a momentary system freeze and sometimes compixz/Unity are unable to recover and I'm left without a window manager. My Lenovo X220 with i5 / Intel graphics is having real prolems with Precise. """ Disable FBC as done for 3.3 or try the Color BLT w/a http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~danvet/drm/commit/?h=for-chainsaw&id=b9cc0560cc47eb52d2e4f9d820f3ebdcb8d0a83e |
