Will's initial branch for bug #23344 was adding some kind of log aggregator to easily manage logs from all the TP components. I drop this patch when I took over the bug I still think it's worth having.

Isn't this better suited to empathy-debugger ?

Why not? empathy-debugger would just become an UI on top of TpDebugger. I'm sure such object could be helpful when debugging, say, mobile TP apps.
