A Windows Live account (xxx@live.com) added through GNOME Online Accounts shows up in empathy-accounts but fails to connect. The sources of the GOA mission-control plugin indicates that these accounts use Gabble as the CM.

However, the same Windows Live account added through empathy-accounts does connect. Looking at my accounts.cfg I find that it is using Haze.

I forgot to mention. I am using telepathy-gabble-0.16.0

It turned out that my caching DNS has trouble doing SRV lookups. So this patch fixes it: http://cgit.collabora.com/git/user/xclaesse/empathy.git/commit/?h=wlm-fallback&id=b2ceeec8188013c21bdef0d711122fb0751cdc84

So, in the end, it is not a Gabble bug.
