When I set the LVDS panel to a resolution that is lower than the native resolution it starts to flicker heavily.

My laptop is a HP ProBook 6465b that has a Llano APU. The latter uses a TRAVIS dp bridge chip to provide LVDS connectivity.
Setting the scale mode does not seem to have any effect either.

The non-native mode 1440x900 seems to work, too. But all other modes cause flickering.

Seems to be fixed for kernel 3.5.
