Hello. I also have been getting this error since I updated FC2Test2 recently (last week). Performance seems fine...and no other effects I can tell...but this shows up everytime I start Fedora now. < Error activating XKB configuration. Probably internal X server problem. X server version data: The X.Org Foundation 60700000 > And the required I get back from xprop -root | grep XKB: _XKB_RULES_NAMES _BACKUP(STRING) = "xfree86", "pc105", "us", "", "" _XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "xfree86", "pc105", "us", "", "" and gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/xkb: layouts = [us] model = pc105 overrideSettings = false options = [] Hope this helps! You are right, I forgot to mention, it started after one update. see #544 and friends (xfree86 => xorg in config file) *** Bug 544 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** As the comment to Bug 544 says: ------- Additional Comment #1 From Stephane LOEUILLET 2004-04-27 20:34 ------- perhaps replacing 'xfree86' in the config file by 'xorg' would do it ?? ---- This worked for me. Thanks a lot. *** Bug 504 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
