Created attachment 64104 [details] Xorg.0.log I often use dualscreen via HDMI on my notebook with a HD 6550M / HD 5650M with the external display being the primary display and then simply disconnect the external display and use xrandr --auto to restore to LVDS only display. Recently X has been segfaulting when doing the xrandr --auto, but only occassionally. I use xorg stable (1.12.3) and xf86-video-ati from git. (It has been happening since at least 1.12.2 and some older xf86-video-ati-git builds). If you can see the problem from the short backtrace in the attached log file, great. If not, please tell me so I can try to get a proper backtrace with a debug build.
