Attached you can find a patch for the compose file.  Changes: 1. a sequences for
trademark sign, elipsis, and few other typographical symbols; 2. a few sequences
involving Cyrillic letters.

Most of this has been applied in commit 5cf5bc76642bfece7cb5b76faf414bf445f14489.

I have not committed the block:

and instead posted a query to the xorg list for further discussion of that block.

I pushed the final block in commit b0a8f2ec4ba698841683f8ce389f9d72e6bce53e after getting only a positive reply to the post mentioned in comment #3.
