Not loading xserver, using xserver-xorg-video-radeon=1:6.99.99+git1209031354.75c1f6~gd~p
with fallback to 1:6.14.99~git20111219.aacbd629-0ubuntu2 all ok
with previous versions of oibaf optimized stuff, no problems..

Looks like you are using UMS which is no longer supported. Any reason you are not using KMS?
Comment 2 Martins 2012-09-05 22:38:01 UTC
Using UMS, just for screen resolution setup(1360x1024) for my old CRT monitor..
Anyway, without UMS radeon driver still don't work correctly..
Comment 3 Martins 2012-09-05 23:09:39 UTC
If radeon driver loads, on every mouse action, I can see all driver actions in details, for example, click on desktop icon with right mouse button, transforms in multiple, very slow, monitor refreshes, till all menu items show up.. :D

You can set custom modes with KMS as well.

With UMS? KMS? can you provide an xorg log and dmesg output from KMS?
