Normally we look for some history of submitting (good) patches to the mesa-dev list before giving a fd.o account.  But I'll assume you'll post your patches for review before pushing.

I would say that we should hold off on the account until we've seen patches.  We haven't done accounts before code in the past.

The reason I requested this account was I need to send patches for some fixes in Mesa that I'm doing at the moment. I sent one patch already, more are coming. But I have no commit rights yet. See the recent http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/mesa-dev/2012-October/028515.html for example

You can send patches without having an fdo account.  Please reopen/file a new request when the admins are telling you to because applying your patches is getting annoying. ;-)
