ps powerpoint has this capability (allows links and saving with embedded media). Roll on the day when okular behaves itself well enough for beamer to be used with movies! I'd like to add that if you drag and drop or cut and paste a movie into impress it is entirely unclear if this is embedded or linked (and as before there appears to be no way to check or change this). > duplicate of bug 32581 ?
Not quite a duplicate but similar - I think some of the specifics here apply only to the linux version (AFAIK movies can't be embedded in the windows version).
- this report calls for some way to manage the properties
- this report extends the problem to drop n drop and cut n paste
- this report calls for a save as (with embedded media)
