Do you not have that function in MS-Windows? With Gnome under Linux I can right-clic on the title bar and I get several choices, one of them is "in the foreground". So I am tempted to say that that is the role of the window manager. Best regards. JBF I checked with MS WORD 2003 on an old PC. there the WORD main window gets smaller and the help window stays open on the right side of the WORD main window. This is also a good solution because it allows working in the main window while looking at the help file. The idea with staying on top I saw somewhere. If I am not mistaken it was in an older MSO version. What you wrote about Linux is excellent. I hope that LibO can also create such a functionality - for old fashion guys like me using windows. I my case I am still dreaming of using Linux, but don't have the time to learn all what is needed. Currently I am struggling with LibO. Problem description: This is an enhancement request to enable a more efficient use of the help window information: There should be a button at the help window to enable selection "stay on top" or "not stay on top". A toggle switch function would be perfect. Steps to reproduce: 1. .... 2. .... 3. ....
