Problem description: 
A hyperlink in my assignment caused office to freeze then crash. The link was long in length and took up quite a lot of screen space. The hyper link colour was blue and when the mouse hovered over it caused a full screen width narrow blue horizontal strip to appear on screen. From here the software froze.

I had another document open in a seperate window. This crashed aswell.

This happened twice. Then a third reboot and instant right click to remove hyperlink resolved the screen freeze.

I tried to reproduce this in LibreOffice 4.0.1 by pasting the hyperlink into a new Writer document. The hovering link box that came up was approximately square-sized, and did not affect my system at all.

Would you please attach a document that demonstrates the freezing behaviour? Thank you.

thanks for the reply but unfortunately i am unable to retry the same outcome as i have since upgraded the OS, and produced additional work into the document.

that being said, i also have not been affected by said bug
