Description Mikhail Zabaluev 2006-01-24 11:24:43 UTC
It would be useful, e.g. for package dependency autogeneration purposes, to dump
package requirements in a canonical manner.
I propose a new option, --requires, that will output contents of Requires,
one requirement per line. Specifying --static will add to that contents of
Requires.private.

Fedora Core has a patch that has some use in their RPM 4.4 branch:
http://cvs.fedora.redhat.com/viewcvs/devel/pkgconfig/pkgconfig-0.15.0-reqprov.patch

This was fixed in commit d690466a with the options --print-provides/requires/requires-private. Please reopen if that doesn't meet your need.
