Created attachment 70895 [details] This is a test file that shows the problem Problem description: When opening an xls file (see attached sample), the file is not recognised as a spreadheet. It looks like its treated like a csv file as I get the same dialog popup you get when dealing with csv files in a spreadsheet. Have reported this as an ubuntu bug, and was asked to post this upstream Steps to reproduce: 1. open the attached in version 3.6.3.2 Current behavior: Opening the attached opens it as a Text Import window, with unexpected characters showing up: �������� Expected behavior: Open the attached as a spreadsheet Operating System: Ubuntu Last worked in: 3.5.4 release
