Does this issue only happen on Chrome? how about on other apps? one more question... What version did you use before updating? if it is not 2.10.91, does this issue also happen with it? I found particular commit that causes problem - http://cgit.freedesktop.org/fontconfig/commit/?id=4eab908c8679a797ac7016b77a93ee41bb11b0fc > Does this issue only happen on Chrome? how about on other apps? Issue also affects Thunderbird. Often in emails with cyrillic and latin symbols cyrillic symbols are bold when latin characters have normal weight. Liberation Sans works fine on thunderbird 17.0.3 at least.
