Would it be so hard to implement the possibiliti from Impress to export text files? I would like to get a slides-to-pages plugin. Sometimes I start to plan my lessons with slides - then I need to make the print support material for the students, and the slides would be the obvious starting point. As for today, I export them to pdf then I use online services to convert it to writer. Ideally the plug in should export the structure, without frames.

Workaround:
Did you try the other way? Plan your presentation in Writer and create slides when needed. Solution: http://askubuntu.com/questions/187602/can-you-create-a-presentation-outline-in-libreoffice-writer

Writer LibreOffice Help:
If a text document contains headings formatted with the Heading Paragraph Style, choose File - Send - Outline to Presentation. A new presentation document is created, which contains the headings as an outline.
If you want to transfer each heading together with its accompanying paragraphs, select the File - Send - AutoAbstract to Presentation command. You must have formatted the headings with a corresponding Paragraph Style to be able to see this command.

Yes, I know that, thank you. 
But that's a work-around, not a solution. 
I have often to edit old presentation, even done by others.
I really consider this enhancement pretty obvious: since a presentation is usually heavilly (not-only-but) text based, I thought an "export to text" function almost mandatory.
Coming from web design (where I try to switch from print to screen with a css) I consider the ability to work on one file, and export to many formats, a big advantage.

So let's change summary to be more attractive for potential developer and mark this as NEW.

It could be done as in Microsoft Office, where you can send Powerpoint presentation directly into Word file, having following layout options:
- notes beside slides
- space for notes beside slides
- notes below slides
- space for notes below slides
- only outline

- paste slides
- paste links to slides

This reminds me how beamer class works in lyx (powered by TeX/LaTeX). There you have one text which outputs to the presentation or the article (switched in one place).
