Description Stéphane Epardaud 2006-03-15 00:49:54 UTC
The scale plugin allows the user to select a window to raise and focus by
scaling them and presenting them in an orderly fashion.
Once the user selects a window, it is raised and focused but the mouse remains
where the user just clicked and often this is not where the selected window was
raised (after the descaling), thus it is not enough to raise and focus that
window, but the user must then traverse the whole screen in order to use that
With features like autoraise/focus this is a nightmare.
It would be nice to have the option of placing the mouse directly above the
clicked window after scaling back from the scale plugin (ideally placing the
mouse at the same relative point it was selected when scaled)

Assigning to correct project now.

Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future.
Comment 3 Kristian Lyngstøl 2009-02-05 11:09:23 UTC
AFAIK this still applies. I'll be moving this bug to opencompositing or implementing it once I'm finished triaging.

Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not
obviously still valid. Please reopen this bug or file a new report if you continue to experience issues with current releases.
