Description logix092 2013-04-19 05:02:21 UTC
Created attachment 78206 [details]
Contains pictures of bug and PowerPoint file.

Microsoft Powerpoint equation object displays with a box around it with an OLE graphic in the middle as in Figure 1 (see attachment file Pictures.pdf). The equation can be moved outside of the box, and the OLE box deleted as in figures 2 and 3.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Download the attachment.
2. Unzip
3. Open Libreoffice Impress.
4. File->Open and browse for File.pptx
5. Go to slide 13.

Expected behavior:
The equation should look like Figure 4 in the Pictures.pdf file.

Also forgot to mention that my OS is Debian 7, Libreoffice is 64-bit, desktop environment is Mate.

I can reproduce this behavior using Linux Mint 14 x64 with LibreOffice 4.0.3.2.

@bug reporter: please report your bugs as UNCONFIRMED, not as NEW. Thanks in advance

Joren

Can anyone change this to unconfirmed? I can't seem to.

No need to, it's been confirmed on comment 2. I can confirm that behavior on LO 4.0.4.2 (Win7 32bit)

Perhaps we still need more infos regarding how that equation object created. Is it embedded/grouped with the box or separated? (my suspect is separated)

Perhaps it's a general ole object problem which we can find in many bugs that have been reported?

I didn't make the slides, so I don't know how it was created. But it appears to be a single object when I open it in PowerPoint 2007.
