Two additional things: Replace "all back" with "all black" above. My kernel is 3.9-rc8. Well I booted into 3.9-rc7 and it seems to work. Maybe it's in the kernel? I cannot reliably boot into 3.9-rc8 and I'm not sure why. I boot using EFI and something goes wrong before the EFI console is ready so I get no message as to what's the error. Sometimes I can boot it though and it does seem to break the rendering. Further testing of 3.9-rc7 shows that it doesn't reliably work. Also, everything is hung when hitting the bug. No network, no input, nothing. Created attachment 78490 [details]

Xorg.log
I've attached my dmesg and Xorg.log. I haven't triggered the bug to generate these (because my system hangs), so I'm not sure how useful they will be.

dmesg from hang
After waiting a very long time, I got some output. Attached is the dmesg output. The last bit is repeated over and over and over.
