I've been trying to debug an issue where my system hangs when GDM starts.

My system has two GPUs, one radeon one intel.  When running on the radeon, things are OK.  Switch to the intel and start gdm and things hang.

I can get X to run by itself on the intel gpu.  I can get output from glxinfo.  But if I run glxgears then the system hangs on the graphical interface with the glxgears windows drawn but all back.

I'm running mesa 9.1.1, xf86-video-intel 2.21.6, xorg-server 1.14.1.

Two additional things:

Replace "all back" with "all black" above.
My kernel is 3.9-rc8.

Well I booted into 3.9-rc7 and it seems to work.  Maybe it's in the kernel?

I cannot reliably boot into 3.9-rc8 and I'm not sure why.  I boot using EFI and something goes wrong before the EFI console is ready so I get no message as to what's the error.  Sometimes I can boot it though and it does seem to break the rendering.

Further testing of 3.9-rc7 shows that it doesn't reliably work.

Also, everything is hung when hitting the bug.  No network, no input, nothing.

I've attached my dmesg and Xorg.log.  I haven't triggered the bug to generate these (because my system hangs), so I'm not sure how useful they will be.
