Description Weston Schmidt 2006-04-13 16:12:02 UTC
I am attaching the document that is causing the problem, found here:
http://www.co.solano.ca.us/resources/TreasurerTaxCollectorCountyClerk/cnty_clk/FicName.pdf

Basically I open the file with evince and my cpu usage rails to 100% of one of
my processors (P4 hypertheading) and the "Loading..." stays on the screen where
I'm hoping to see the document.

Distro: Fedora Core 5 (standard SMP kernel)
Popplar Version: 0.5.1-2
Evince Version: 0.5.1-3

I was able to see this document using a machine with Fedora Core 4 (updated to
the latest packages).

Comment 3 Jeff Muizelaar 2006-04-14 16:06:11 UTC
Seems to work fine for me with cairo cvs.
Comment 4 Jeff Muizelaar 2006-04-14 16:08:24 UTC
cairo git rather.
Comment 5 Albert Astals Cid 2006-04-14 19:24:18 UTC
I have cairo 1.0.2-ubuntu1.1 and can confirm gtk-cairo-test takes ages while
gtk-splash-test works quickly

Just wanting to confirm this bug, as I've been redirected from

Yes, the screen shot you have is the same behavior that I see.

Software Versions:
cairo-1.0.4-1
evince-0.5.1-3

Not slow for me anymore, please reopen if you still find it slow.
