If I try to open this file http://is.muni.cz/th/208068/fi_m/Jan_Sedo_-_Business_Models_and_Technologies_-_Printed_Periodicals_on_the_Internet_-_public.docx after fews seconds longer Writer starts hanging with 100% CPU.

Tested on Mac and Windows with the same result.

I can reproduce this behavior using Mac OSX 10.8.4 with LibreOffice Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 9ab800829b8a0e44824dc11276b54b1870bc5b2b and 4.1.0.1 RC.

I'm not getting any hangs in LO 4.4.0 rc1. It seems the problem has been fixed somewhere else. Please, someone else can confirm it then this issue can be freely closed. Thanks.
