Problem description: When opening the latest LO on OS X 10.8.4 the user is greeted by a huge screen wasting a lot of screen estate. It would be much better to display a start center that in size matches the used banner.

Steps to reproduce:
1. install latest LO
2. open LO

Not a bug because LO works as designed. Set as enhancement. And ALL for platform and OS.
But not sure if, personally, I agree with this proposition. :-)
