In Heroes of Newerth, there is massive black corruption over top half of screen anytime, when you move mouse over some game objects, like buildings. This is HiZ related and goes away when RADEON_DEBUG=nohiz is set. 
I also found out that it goes away completely when I revert

    r300g: allow HiZ with a 16-bit zbuffer

HoN is free to play, however I can make an apitrace if needed.
