Upon removal of the USB-headset (the only audio sink and audio source(?)), pavucontrol shows me that TeamSpeak3's output is now the dummy output and its input is inexistant (it does not show up in the "Recording" tab). After re-attaching the headset, PulseAudio correctly(?) lets the output go through the real speaker again, the input however has to be reconfigured in TeamSpeak3 or the application has to be restarted.

System information:
Arch Linux with the following package versions:
pulseaudio 4.0-2
teamspeak3 3.0.10.1-1

We have module-always-sink that creates the dummy sink if nothing else is available, but due to some oversight we don't have module-always-source for the input side.
