Description jonas.vejlin 2006-05-12 18:54:06 UTC
When I have change resolution on my screen in Debian Unstable (with xorg 7.0)
the xserver is restartning with no cange at all, but when I am runing Debian
testing (x.org 6.9) the changeing of resolution takes effect right after I
press the OK button
In both cases I am running kde 3.5.2

I'm very certain that you're not using the VGA driver. Do provide a log.
Comment 2 jonas.vejlin 2006-05-12 19:25:59 UTC

Comment 3 Erik Andren 2006-05-15 07:39:12 UTC

The patch provided at
http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-cvs-commits/2006-July/msg03489.html
fixes the problem.
I just wonder why this was not applied upstream.

Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future.
